Fall colours

I have to put my nails in fall colors even if I have no mood to take out the darker nail polishes from my stash. But I have so many pretty nail polishes and I have to admit I have forgotten about some of them, like about this classic fall shade from essie called Wicked. I don't know how to describe this shade, it is a deep, dark red, almost black with a creamy finish. It's vampy and I like it this way 😈
The formula is fantastic and it gets opaque is just one coat, but I used 2 ones as usual. On my ring-fingernail I painted two coats of Golden Rose textured #54 and on my middle finger I stamped a pattern form the plate by Born Pretty Store.

I enjoyed a lot to were this combination. How do you like it? Do you own polishes that you completely forget about it?

Beauty Bigbang nail foils

Now days nail art foils are very trendy and there are so many types of ones that I am always in trouble when it comes to choose just one. Well, the Beauty Bigbang site thought to make a pack of 12 little boxes of different nail foils. It was a fantastic idea because this way you get silver foils, gold foils, rose gold foils and an interesting spotted copper foil which has shades of green, blue and purple in it. The foils are super thin and easy to apply. I made two manicures and with the help of a tweezers I ripped in small pieces the foils and just put them on my painted nails on random places. The foils have a beautiful effect and any simple looking nail art can change to an extravagant one because of the shinny looking foils.

In the past I used such kind of foils (but they were ruff and not so thin like these ones) and I always had some problems when I put the top coat on, they lost their shine or they shrink, well this time everything worked perfectly.

If you like the set of foils you can find them HERE and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code too, for any of you're purchase from the Beauty Bigbang site.

Shades of Pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and even if I am very, very busy with other stuff than nail art I had to do a manicure and support this cause which is close to my heart. Why, well I am sure most of you already know it.

Living a pink life is hard, I don't want to go in details of all the hard things I've been through from 2012 until now, you would be terrified to hear it. I just want to raise awareness and tell you how important is to make a yearly check up for your breasts...and for your overall health condition. IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE! This is not a myth it is the truth. If it does not hurt, does not mean that you can not have a problem or even worth, cancer. My breast cancer did not hurt, I just felt a small lump and from that moment on everything changed in my life.

Seeing some old videos I saw how much I've changed through these 5 years, because of chemo, hormone treatments, surgeries, but I am here and I am alive, and I can be with my family and raise my daughter. I don't know what the future will bring for me but I will never give up the fight, even if sometimes I am extremely tired of it.  Besides that I want to share my experience with other women and my daughter, because I think people can find inspiration or even resources if it is needed through my story. The tragic fact is that not everyone survives breast cancer. But if women are diagnosed in early stages the chance of full recovery is very good.

I hope that you like my manicure for this case and don't forget the most important thing, go make a screening and monthly you can make a self-examination too. HERE you can find 5 steps how to do it correctly.

Maybelline - a fantastic brand

If you follow me on Instagram, you may already saw that I received some great products from the brand Maybelline. First I received a beautiful light brown matte lipstick together with a lip-liner. I am talking about the COLORsensational Clay Crush 932 lipstick and lip-liner.

The lipstick formula is creamy and velvety and applies evenly to a semi-matte finish. The light brown color has some warm undertones on the lips and this one can be worn in any season. It feels comfortable on the lips and because of it's long lasting hydration it is perfect for dry lips too. Thanks for the lip-liner, which is darker with about 2 tones, the wearing time of the lipstick is much longer than without. I noticed fading after about 4-5 hours. So, thumbs up for this lipstick!

The other product I received is very well known by lot's of beauty bloggers, because it is classified as one of the best concealers. I am talking about the Instant Anti-Age - The Eraser Eye concealer which is a treatment too and it contains Goji bears and Haloxyl, which reduces the puffiness and fine lines under the eyes. It contains 19 amino acids, from what 8 are essential oils and a very high amount of Vitamin C. I received the light one for review but after using it I think that for my skin-tone is better a medium darker one, maybe the nude one.

As you can see it in the photos the concealer comes in a clear plastic twist up tube with a sponge tip applicator. I used the sponge applicator and after it I spread the concealer with my finger tips. The formula has a fine texture, it is extremely lightweight and it blends well. Coverage is medium to high and covers imperfections and under-eye circles very well and it does not need any touch ups...yeeeey!

All in all I think the concealer is a MUST HAVE product and I am going to buy one that goes with my skin-tone and I must admit, I am a big fan of the Clay Crush lipstick, I wear it very often because it goes with any kind of outfit and I like in general brown and nude shades.

Glitter nails

I like to were bright colors on my nails even if it is winter or fall, I usually put them on depending on my mood. This is why today, on a beautiful fall day I am going to show you a bright colored polish with a glitter topper.

I received a glitter topper for review from the Born Pretty Store and first I thought I will add it on a darker shade, but I tried it on several nail polishes, on my nail wheels, and I liked it the most on an orange/coral shade by Cupio - Spanish Grapefruit.

The BPS glitter topper comes in a 5 ml bottle, the formula of it is quite thick, it's hard to apply. First I thought I will add it just on the tips of my nails, but because of the thick clear base I couldn't do it because it got bumpy, so this is why I choose to paint it on the whole nail surface. The polish contains 2 different types of glitters: micro glitters and bigger shaped glitters, that have a color shift from pink to gold in bright light conditions. Although on my nails it seams that the polish it is full with glitters, I have to tell you that it is not. I have applied two coats and plus a bit of dabs here and there to cover the whole nail surface.

Even though the application took a while I wore this manicure for two weeks because I liked it how it looked in the sun. If you like it, you can find it HERE and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code for any of your purchase on the Born Pretty Store site.

Born Pretty Store flakies soak-off gel polish

I continue to review the soak-off nail polishes I received from the Born Pretty Store. This time I have a topper to show you loaded with flakies. I used it on black but this one works on several dark polishes.

The collection has 8 soak-off nail polishes to choose from and all of them are packed with chameleon flakies in a cute white 10 ml bottle. I tried #2 which I added on a black base, because the recommendation of the manufacturer asked it. The topper is a clear base, a thicker formula and it is full with flakies which shift from blue to pink. I added just one coat on black but if you like to have a full coverage of flakies, than you can add a layer more. As you can see in the images I used the unicorn pigment too and I added on it a geometrical stamped pattern.

If you like flakies nail polish toppers than this product is definitely for you and luckily at the Born Pretty Store site you can choose the one you prefer the most. Just check them out HERE! The polishes are on 50% off now, so don't miss them and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code too!

As you may have noticed these are not my nails, but I made the design for my nice, so thanks Timi for being my hand and nail model :)

Chrome mermaid pigment

Lately I am fascinated with pigments that can be used on UV gel nail polishes. Their effect is so different and eye catching on several colored nail polishes. The Born Pretty Store site was kind enough to make me a surprise and added in my last package that was sent to me, a chrome mermaid pigment

The product comes in a small box, very good sealed. I received about 0.2 g, but you can choose more amount if you like. In my manicure the pigment is used on a white soak-off nail polish and I used a silicone head nail art tool to rub it in on the sticky surface. You should insist with the application on the free sides of the nails and on the tips too, to have a long lasting manicure. This pigment is extremely fine and can be used for mermaid, unicorn nail art which is so trendy now days, because it has that specific color shift from pink to green/blue when it is applied on white.

I tried it on black too and achieved a chopper green/pink color shift. I find it lovely and so pretty on both cases!

I am not such a big fan of unicorn designs so I made a simple, casual looking nail art using this pigment on two of my nails and I combined it with a light green soak-off gel polish from my stash. I added on my ring fingernail a stamped pattern with white to complete my manicure.

I think the pigment is one of the most beautiful ones I own and clearly I will need more after using the amount I received. If you like the effect of the pigment you can find it HERE and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code if you buy anything from the Born Pretty Store site.
