Fruit ice-cream without sugar

How is the weather in your town? Here is quite hot, even if some days it is raining, the temperatures are very high! Because of this weather, I like to eat and drink cold foods.

I declare my self an ice cream dependent, but because my diet doesn't allow to eat sugar, I had to rethink my usual ice-cream recipes.

All you need for this homemade ice-cream is frozen fruits! I always have in my fridge frozen bananas (does one that are very sweet and brown spotted) and berries. I made two different kind of ice-creams, one with blueberries and one with strawberries.

You add the frozen ingredients in a powerful blender and mix them together until they become creamy. For a special taste you can add different kind of spices, I put a little bit of fresh ginger in the one with strawberries. You don't need anything else, just the above mentioned ingredients and after a few minutes you can enjoy a healthy and full of vitamins ice-cream.

You can serve it in a bole or you can make Popsicle.

Do you like ice-cream? Do you have any other kind of recipes that is free of harmful ingredients?

Essence and Maybelline combination

Hello lovely ladies,

I hope this week started well for you. I am counting the days until my holiday and of course I am preparing my self for the big day, this is why I don't have much time for my nails, but I wanted to show you the two new polishes I bought recently. Essence Glitz & Glam, from Glitter Jewels collection and Maybelline - Hooked on pink (212). I found that these polishes goo very well together!

essence - Glitz & Glam is a special effect topper, but this time I used it in 4 coats, without a base color. The particles have just distributed as they wanted, I didn't had many problems with it. It dried very quickly, and the consistency of it was totally fine. The shimmer of this topper is quite unique, depending from the light conditions, it sparkles in gold, green and blue shades.

Direct sunlight
Maybelline - Hooked on pink attracted me because of the bright almost neon pink shade. I applied it in two coats and it became totally opaque. The polish itself applies easily, streak free and it dries quickly to a cream finish! This color attracts the eye and for me is a perfect one for summer!

And guess what my daughter did until I took the photos, she painted her nails almost exactly like she saw how I did :)) I found it very cute and asked to pose for me :) She is very excited that I am going to show her nails on the blog!

Thank you for stopping by and living me kind comments, I appreciate each of them very much!

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter M

I didn't had much time for my nails lately so, for this letter I prepared a MESSY nail design :) It is very easy to do, you just add a few droops of different kind of colored polish on your nails, and before they dry with a pointed tool (I used a toothpick) you mix them together. That's it, of course you will finish it with a top coat for sealing the design!

I used for my nails a white base and I put a few drops of  Catrice - Yellow Sub-Mandarin, Catrice - Mint Me Up and a deep green french polish that I bought from a while ago and I took down the label because it was sticky and I didn't memorized the name of it :)

Let's see what the other lovely ladies made for this letter:

Health red smoothie

I don't know if someone missed my recipes or not, but I thought to post weakly at least one recipe. Some of you already know that I completely changed my diet, because of my health problems, I don't eat meat or anything that contains white flour, and sugar. I could continue the list of forbidden foods, but I won annoy you now! I try to eat as much as I can raw vegan, so most of my recipes will be a bit different, but I assure you, they are very healthy. Cancer changed my lifestyle!

Today I will share with you a very yummy smoothie fool with antioxidants! All you need is: one middle sized beetroot, 3 nectarines or peaches (you can mix them if you like) and a hand fool of raspberries.

I juiced the beetroot and two nectarines and after that I blended them together with the raspberries and one pealed peach. If you like your drinks sweet, you can add a spoon of honey in it. Easy, no?

Beetroot is an excellent source of folate and a good source of manganese, is low in fat, full of vitamins and minerals and packed with powerful antioxidants. The juice of this vegetable reduces blood pressure. A reduction in blood pressure is beneficial for the avoidance of heart disease and stroke. Beetroot can fight cancer too, but only red beets have the cancer-fighting compound betacyanin!

Peaches and nectarines are low calorie fruits full in vitamins E and K, niacin, folate, iron, choline, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, zinc and copper.  These fruits keep the skin healthy, reduce hair loss, fights obesity-related diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, inhibit tumor growth activity too.

Raspberries are the world healthiest fruit! The diversity of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients in raspberries are truly remarkable. Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber. Unfortunately raspberry may cause serious allergic reactions in some sensitized individuals, so if you are allergic to this fruit, avoid it!

I hope you will try and like this red smoothie, which can be a good refresher in hot summer day's, if you add ice in it it will cool you down! Enjoy!

Guest nails

Does who are following my blog from a longer time know that sometimes I make the nails for my friends and post them. Today I will show you the manicure I made for my sister-in-law, she wished green nails so I made her a green gradient with Gabrini 53 and 54 polishes.

And here are the nails of my colleague, she wished waterfall nails and I combined different kind of blue shades and added a hint of pink and a little bit of glitter to it. She made the photos and I thank her for that!

The Gabrini polish is nr. 12 and the glitter polish from NYC - 105 Lights-Camera-Glitter.

By the way, she is a blogger too, she writes about gardening and stuff related to this. I always look up for her quick and tasty recipes and I love when she writes about her trips to different kind of places! If you are interested you can look up for her blog here.

I wish you all a fantastic and sunny day!

Time flies and we are already at letter L. I enjoy this group challenge so much that even if I don't have much time for manicures I make my best to post and create something for each Saturday. This time I had in mind two themes, louboutin nails and leopard print nails. I choose to make the last one, because I had for inspiration my new leggings and of course I had to make matching nails for it!

I used for this nail art: Sally Hansen - Lavender Cloud, Golden Rose nr. 68, Beauty UK - Yellow Peril no. 36.

I am very curious what kind of themes the other girls from the group used for this letter:

Mix and match

Hello lovely ladies,

How did your week started? I didn't had a good start but at least my nails look good :)) I was in the mood of a flower mani and this came out. Hope you like it, in my opinion it has a vintage touch.

I've bought this purple polish from quite a while ago in a small store in my town and I was curious about it because I never heard about this brand - Vaiana. The truth is I didn't found anything on the internet about this Brand, I know that they are made in France and they are sold in small discount stores and tabbaco shops. I applied it in two coats, it dried very fast but the smell of it was horrible. I like the deep purple shade of this polish and it has a plus because it has a glossy finish.

S-he 323 - this is a polish that I instantly fell in love with. I am sure it happens to you too!? :)) This polish is from the fall collection it is a pale-brown, purple color with golden flakes in it. Two layers are enough for a perfect coverage. The brush is very nice to work with but the drying time takes  a little bit longer, but it worth waiting because the final result is a stunning and classy neutral color!

Of course I had to add in this mix and match design a textured polish, I choose Strict from the P2 sand style polishes witch is my absolute favorite from this collection. The silver-gray polish has a very classy finish and sparkle due to the larger glitter particles in it!

I hope you enjoyed this mani as I did and I will tell you a secret, I made my toe nails too in this style, but I didn't made any pictures of it because you know, I hate my feet :(

Oh, and I want to share with you what I bought at the weekend. No, no polishes, this month until know I didn't bought even one, I am trying to restrain myself! But Sunday I was at a blog sale where the town fashion-bloggers sold some of their clothes and jewellery's. Of course I came home with two beautiful earnings and an animal print leggings. How do you like them?

I wish you all wonderful summer days and thank you for stopping by!

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter K

Today trough my nails I will send you a KISS :) This is my theme for letter K. It is not much to tell about this design, I used two bright colored polishes and a white one for the base of my nail art. The lips are hand painted, they don't look perfect, but some of them came out quite good, no? I enjoyed to have these colors on my nails!

The orange polish is Missguided - Misstaken. I've gone for a beautiful bright nail color because it is summer and this gorgeous orange polish was waiting to be tried! The formula is very pigmented and so I needed just two coats for full opacity. Application was smooth and it dried quickly and left a high shine finish!

The green polish is from Gabrini. This is one of my favorite green shades from my collection, it has a cream finish and a wonderful shine. The problem is the smell of it, which is very intense and tang.

I am sure all of you know about the Rimmel Rita Ora collection polishes, I used White Hot Love for the base of my nail art. This white polish hides a lot of beautiful shimmer and gives a slight pearl effect to the polish. I applied it in two coats.

And to add to this post a weekend feeling I live you with a song that did not came out of my mind from the moment I made these nails and of course the list of the other participants to this challenge!
